Wall & Ceiling UPVC Panels - INSTALLATION
Installation on uneven wall
Wooden framework or light steel keel were required on uneven wall in order to provide a flat surface. Install the framework on the wall by the opposite direction of panel, with maximum distance 50cm between each other.
Fasten the panel jointers to the frameworks by screws, nails, staples or glue. Select a first panel and cut into right length, remove the left-side tongue and put this end into the jointer, keep the panel surface toward you and the groove-side to the right. Fasten the panel on the frameworks through the groove-side lip by screws, nails or staples, or use glue to stick the panel onto the frameworks entirely. Then select next panel, put the tongue in the groove, fasten the panel again as the method before after good fitting. Continue this step until the end of the wall.
Installation on flat wall
The panel could fix on the flat wall by adhesive without frameworks, even on the wall with existing ceramic tile or painting. Fasten the panel jointers to the surface with adhesive. Select a first panel and cut into the right length, remove the left-side tongue and put this end into the jointer, keep the panel surface toward you and the groove-side to the right. Fasten the panel on the surface evenly by adhesive. Then select next panel, put the tongue in the groove, fasten the panel again as the method before after good fitting. Continue this step until the end of the wall.
Installation Tips
•Do not install the accessories or fixtures on to panel directly, drill holes through the panel into the frameworks or wall, then use screws to fasten the accessories into the frameworks or wall.
•In shower area apply a narrow silicone bead into the panel groove to ensure complete protection against moisture. And could use silicone sealant on any connective edge.
•When drill holes on panel for halogen ceiling lights, should leave 10mm gap between the halogen bulb and the panel.
